Day 2 - Staycation @ Changi

We started touring Singapore today. We started in the morning with Gardens by the Bay. The place more commonly known by Mum as the two 'hum karks' or otherwise known as cockle shells. Beautiful flowers but pity we saw the windmills but no tulips at all.

We had a lot of fun snapping pictures of all the flowers. The two ladies, despite having limited battery in their phones, continued snapping nonstop. The pictures drew wows and woos from the ladies. Feel good to snap pictures. Suggests to me that the investment was well worth it.

Lunch was a disappointment. Nonya and Baba at Vivocity was not that good. Expensive basic Peranakan food at exorbitant prices. Super salty Ayam Buah Keluak, Chap Chye, Ngoh Hiang & Otah - nothing overly fantastic.

After we got back, I went for a walk alone at the Changi Boardwalk. And took lots of nice scenic pictures of people fishing, etc.

A nice conclusion to the day.

Day 1 - Staycation @ Changi

It's been an interesting day combining shopping and moving in to my new abode for the week!

What really brightened up my day was te realisation that what goes down must come up! Yesterday I dropped my hand phone in the toilet bowl and lost about 270 bucks due to the carelessness of my mum. Really felt down yesterday but today?

Today is really different! Even the sun seems brighter today. Woke up to check on my home remedy solution or a water soaked phone. Bing! It's all okay already. Surprise! This goes to show that life does, at times have a different twist! What I used to do as a child, under instructions of Ah Ma or Mum was useful. All I needed to do was to place the phone into the rice bucket and soak it overnight!

On top of this, at strategic moments, I got myself a couple of choice lots - the kind of lots where you do not need to wait and they are at strategic locations!

Can't wait for the rest of the week!
